About ITRS Uptrends

We are ITRS Uptrends: a SaaS based monitoring platform that provides our customers insight into the uptime and load times of their websites and servers. As part of the ITRS Group, we have customers all over the world, and have become one of the leading companies in our industry. And we are proud of that!  

ITRS Uptrends’ headquarters are in Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands. We also have offices in London, Manila and NYC. The Uptrends team consists of about 40 people, while ITRS Group employs a total of 370 people. 

Scope of Role

In your role as Product Designer, you'll be part of the engineering department. The team is part of a bigger picture within ITRS and in your daily work you'll collaborate with product managers, product owners, software developers, fellow cross-function designers and the Product-Led Growth team (PLG Team) on major product areas. 

You will lead the design process: from user behaviour research and prototyping to refining and working with engineering for final implementation. This is a full-time (32-40 hours) position based at our Alphen aan den Rijn office, with a balanced blend of on-site and remote work flexibility.  

As a Senior Product Designer (UI/UX), you will:

• Turn insights from user behaviour research into ideas and prototypes to bring them to life, making an impact on the growth of ITRS Uptrends’ SaaS platform. 

• Work with the product team to identify problems and opportunities by reviewing how users are using the product. 

• Work with the engineering team to agree on the problem and find the best solution, starting with whiteboarding, planning and brainstorming. 

• Design user interfaces to refine the user experience and support new product releases.  

• Produce detailed mock-ups to communicate your designs. 

• Develop the final visual design and interaction model of the validated solutions. 

You will have:

• 5+ years of product design experience in a user-centric and preferably Product-Led Growth/B2B/SaaS technology environment.

• Strong empathy and desire to understand user challenges and create human-centered solutions.

• Experienced at identifying pain points and friction in user journeys.

• Ability to translate complex concepts into attractive, intuitive designs.

• Proficient in UI/UX principles and concepts.

• Knowledgeable in Figma, our design tool of choice.

• Proficiency in data-informed design approaches is a significant advantage.

• Excellent communicator able to explain design proposals across the company.

• Have available portfolio demonstrating advanced UI/UX design skills.

• Experience with design systems

• Experience collaborating with developers and data scientists.

• Affinity with the tech/IT industry.

• Proficient in English and Dutch.
